With corn & soybeans emerging and growing, it’s time to start thinking of cutworm activity. Make sure you are scouting your fields thoroughly.
Look for plants that have been cut or may have shot holes in leaves. Economic threshold in corn is when 3-6% of plants are cut. If larvae are over an inch long they are probably reaching maturity.
Options are to spot spray for them or spray the entire field depending on infestation.
